We wanted this car to be a daily driver; small block 350, TH350 Tranny, and a modest finish on the chassis.

Nineteen-forty Fords aren’t the only cars Larry Olson likes, but they happen to be high on the list. He’s owned a few, from convertibles to sedans and of course coupes. Larry calls them the prettiest of the fat-fendered cars, and we wouldn’t argue. With a design cleaner than the inside of a bubble, and more curvy lines than a trigonometry textbook, the ’40 coupe has established its place alongside the ’32 as a street rod icon. Built by the team at Bowman Real Hot Rods and painted by Smitty's Custom Painting  We had such a great time meeting new friends and running into familiar faces at this year’s Shades of the Past Hot Rod Roundup!
The hospitality to the participants and guests was beyond expectation! With over 3000 cars on display and 300 builders showcasing their work, Shades of the Past was the highest quality show we've seen in years. We are very exciting about next year and are already planning to return with a surprise or two.
